Hello and good eveing. today, i will be your host for the new story i am about to introduce. This story is based on a true story of the real MIT Blackjack Team during the 1990s. What came out of your mind when i said blackjack? yes, ofcourse. Casino, gambling and other things. the title of the story is "21: Bringing down the house". The title already englightens us to flip the pages. but before, i will introduce the author. The author of this book, Ben Mezrich, is an American author who graduated from Harvard University. He is famous for writing sopshiticated and exciting novels. To succefully publish this book, Ben had actually tried to pass the airport with ten thousand dollars attached to him and had also went to several strip clubs to describe each scenes of the story and to emphatize with the feelings the characters might have had in the story. Now let's move on to the plot of the story.
Kevin was an honorable MIT student who had a talented skill on mathematics. one day he was approached by his non-talkative roomate. the roomate asked Kevin out to a boxing game on las vegas. but Kevin knew it was a nonsense because the boxing game show was too expensive for students like him. However, Kevin changed his minds after seeing his roomate take out first row VIP seating tickets from his pockets.and that was his first recruit to the MIT blackjack team.
Kevin's first mission was to pass the airport with ten thousand dollars strapped to his body. After passing it, Kevin was accepted as a MIT blackjack team member. The team's objective was simple. spend the day at the MIT and spend the night sweeping casinos all around the state. The MIT team was the most profitable yet by using ultimate math skills to make money out of blackjack.
However, their non-stop success streak brought formidable ire of casino owners. The owners started hiring private investigators to track down the MIT team. and the MIT team was enlisted on the blacklist, forcing them to start disguising and using plans. Their safety became more and more loose... now that's all for today and i hope you will read the book.THis book is a must-read for those people who love crime, suspense and mystery.
